The Medical Group Management Association's MGMA Stat poll asked participants to describe how frequently they compare reimbursement with contracted payment rates. A third responded they compare rates monthly or more often and an additional 15 percent report doing so quarterly. Overall, over 20 percent of respondents compare rates daily or when payments are posted and only one percent indicated they rarely or never checked payment to the contract.
The poll conducted on January 31, 2017 reported information from over 899 healthcare professionals.
